Bio
Dana holds a Masters of Health Science from the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Medicine program in Speech-Language Pathology where she was the winner of the Gordon Cressy Student Leadership Award and the Margaret Stoicheff Alumni Award. She also holds an Honours degree in Linguistics from York University. Dana is registered with the Canadian Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (CASLPA), the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO) as well as the Ontario Association of Speech Language-Pathologists and Audiologists (OSLA).
Dana is employed part-time by the Hanen Centre in Toronto where she conducts parent-training seminars, assessments and therapy, as part of the province of Ontario’s Pre-School Initiative. Dana’s work at the Hanen Centre has also permitted her to receive unique specialized training in world-renowned therapy programs such as It Takes Two to Talk, Learning Language and Loving It, and More than Words. These programs utilize cutting-edge clinical research and state-of-the-art delivery mechanisms to maximize the success of speech and language therapy. Professionals from all over the world seek out the coveted Hanen approach that Dana provides to every one of her clients.
In addition to the many individual children Dana has helped over the years, her client list includes private schools, daycares and nurseries who seek out her expertise for their students and staff.
Dana resides at her home in Thornhill with her husband and two daughters. |
